February 12, 2008

I can't believe the ice we had today. And no school tomorrow either. If you didn't know, we close the shop when the Springfield Schools are closed. I have learned that most quilters do not get out in the ice. Am I wrong?

If you are in our new club Crazy Girls, they will have their first meeting next Tuesday, February 19. Hopefully, the ice will be gone by then.

We now have holes in the walls. As soon as the city says okay, we will proceed onward to finishing phase one, which is the new room for the quilting machines. I hope to have the machines moved by March 1.

I spent all day catching up...made my Crazy Girls block, my Buffalo Gals blocks, my name tag, and my Wash Tub block. Now I know how some of you feel trying to get all the blocks of the month done on time! But I do enjoy the thought that I don't have to have the whole quilt done tomorrow!

I have even started a quilt for me....not even a shop sample. It is going to take me a long time, but it is the journey that is so special about quilting. Don't you agree?

Back to the machine. Stay safe in all this ice.

Merrily
